Little Lucy-28 days old

I had an amazing session today with baby Lucy.

Although she was 1 month old, she slept like a champ and was able to go into most of the regular newborn poses.

Mom and Dad were relaxed, so was Grandma, the session flowed and we all had a great time.

Before today’s session, both parents wanted to come and view my studio before they felt comfortable booking with me. I encourage anyone who’d like to take a look, before they book-it puts your mind at ease.

Anyhow I hope you love these images from Lucy’s session.

Ideally, most newborn sessions are done within the first two weeks of age. Babies at this age, are still sleepy, don’t startle and love curling up into those newborn poses. However, there can be many factors that result in you booking an older newborn session. These might include an extended stay in hospital, premature arrival of your new little one or simply a last minute decision!

I love to photograph older newborn sessions. Some of my clients come to me with babies anywhere from three to six weeks of age. Sometimes, those curly, naked newborn poses aren’t always achievable, but with variations to setups, positioning and wrapping, a collection of beautiful and timeless images of your baby can be captured.
