Life with a new baby

In the hospital you have lots of help. Then comes the moment for you take your little one home. You’ve read the  books, subscribed to newborn websites and blogs about parenting.... But until your arrive home with little one, that's when the learning happens.

Here is a tip Mom and Dad's tell me they wish they'd been told about the first few  days and weeks at home with their baby.

Sleep Friends and other parents will tell you that you won’t get very much sleep, but it’s worse than you  could imagine. To be honest, you won’t get any in the first few weeks. In addition to needing to be fed every few hours, newborns don’t know the difference between day and night. So no matter what time your baby rests, you will definitely need to take advantage and sleep too. You can  try to help your baby get on track by keeping evening and night feeds  as calm as possible and wake your baby after 3 hours of daytime sleep to feed.
